FAQ

Can I use my own foundation?

Absolutely. You’re welcome to use your own products if you prefer.

While we’re happy to apply client-provided products, we’re unable to guarantee the performance or longevity of items outside of our professional kit. Pricing remains the same.

If I want to do my own brows or mascara, can I?

Yes, of course.
Please note that pricing remains unchanged, and we’re unable to be responsible for the appearance or wear of any areas completed by the client.

Do you offer airbrush makeup?

We do not offer airbrush makeup.
We specialize in professional bridal makeup techniques that provide exceptional longevity, control, and a beautiful skin-like finish that photographs effortlessly and wears comfortably throughout long wedding days.

Do you offer chest or body illumination?

Yes. Light chest and décolletage illumination is complimentary upon request and is designed to enhance the skin’s natural glow for a polished, radiant finish. This service does not include full body makeup.

Do you cover tattoos?

Minor tattoo coverage may be accommodated with advance notice.
Full coverage is not guaranteed and may require additional time and fees depending on the area and complexity.

Are lashes included?

Yes. Strip lashes are complimentary and included with all makeup services, though never mandatory.
As they are part of our signature look, opting out does not change pricing.

Can I add cluster lashes at my appointment

(5-day wear)?

Yes. Cluster lashes may be added on the day of service, subject to availability, and are designed to provide a soft, natural enhancement that complements your makeup look. The investment is $35 per application.

What if my lashes lift during the night?

Lash longevity can vary based on individual factors.
While we take every care during application, we’re unable to guarantee wear for the entire event and are not responsible for lifting after application. We recommend keeping a lash adhesive on hand just in case.

How are travel fees calculated?

Travel fees are calculated based on both distance and total travel time, because on-location services require more than simply “getting there.” Your travel fee helps cover the full cost and time involved in providing a professional, seamless experience outside of our studio.

Travel fees may include:

  • Round-trip mileage (fuel, vehicle wear/maintenance)

  • Travel time to and from your getting-ready location

  • Tolls, parking, or venue access fees when applicable

  • Scheduling impact (travel blocks off time on our calendar and affects how many services we can take that day)

  • Additional logistics required for mobile setup

All travel fees are quoted and confirmed in advance so there are no surprises, and they are non-refundable, as travel time and calendar space are reserved specifically for your date and location.

Do you take multiple weddings in one day?

No, we intentionally do not double-book weddings. This decision is a core part of our luxury, service-first approach and allows us to give every bride our full attention, energy, and care from start to finish, without compromise.

By committing to one wedding per artist, we’re able to remain fully present throughout your entire experience — from a relaxed start time and unhurried applications to thoughtful adjustments and a calm, grounded wedding morning. This approach allows for flexibility, care, and a truly personalized experience, while removing the pressure that comes from rushing between locations or dividing focus.

Your wedding day is not just another appointment on our calendar. By reserving the entire day for you, we protect your timeline, create space for a seamless and unrushed morning, and ensure your artist is dedicated exclusively to you and your bridal party, allowing you to feel fully supported, confident, and at ease every step of the way.

Should hair or makeup be done first?

Hair and makeup can be completed in either order, depending on your timeline, hairstyle, and overall schedule for the morning. Once all services are finalized, we’ll confirm the ideal service sequence to ensure everything flows smoothly and comfortably, allowing your wedding morning to feel organized, relaxed, and stress-free.

Is a bridal trial required?

Yes. A bridal trial is required for all brides, as it plays an essential role in creating a seamless and confident wedding-day experience. Your trial allows us to spend dedicated time getting to know you, your vision, your comfort level with makeup, and how you want to feel on your wedding day.

During your trial, we’ll collaborate closely to refine details such as coverage, tones, balance, and overall style, while also assessing how your makeup wears on your skin. This process helps eliminate any uncertainty and ensures there are no surprises on your wedding morning.

Requiring a trial allows us to arrive on your wedding day with a clear plan, confidence in your look, and a shared understanding of your vision — so you can relax, feel supported, and truly enjoy the experience knowing everything has already been thoughtfully perfected.

Can I do a trial before booking?

Bridal trials are reserved exclusively for confirmed brides. This allows us to fully dedicate our time, preparation, and expertise to brides who have secured their wedding date with us. Trials are an in-depth, personalized service and are scheduled only after a signed contract and retainer are received, ensuring every bride receives the level of care and attention they deserve.

What if I don’t love something at my trial?

That’s exactly what the trial is for. We truly want you to love how you look and feel on your wedding day, and open, honest communication during your trial is not only welcomed, it’s encouraged.
Your trial is a collaborative experience where we refine details together in real time, whether that means adjusting coverage, balance, softness, or overall vibe. Sharing what you love (and what you don’t) helps us fully understand your vision and ensures there are no surprises on your wedding day.
While trials allow for thoughtful refinements, they do not include unlimited redesigns or additional trials unless booked separately.

What if my getting-ready location changes?

We kindly ask that any location changes be communicated as soon as possible. Changes may result in adjusted travel fees, timeline updates, or additional artist requirements.

Yes — as a courtesy, we may be able to pick up a pre-ordered and prepaid order along our travel route, as long as it does not impact arrival time. This is offered at our discretion.

Can I ask you to pick up coffee or refreshments?

Do you provide a wedding-day timeline?

Yes. A detailed wedding-morning timeline can be requested once all services are finalized to ensure a calm, stress-free experience.

How far do you travel?

We are fully mobile and travel both locally and beyond. Travel availability is based on location, timing, and overall logistics, and all travel arrangements and fees are customized accordingly. Details are discussed and confirmed in advance so everything is clear, seamless, and stress-free leading up to your wedding day.

Do I need to prepare anything for you?

We arrive fully equipped and bring our own professional chair. We kindly ask for:

  • Access to a nearby power outlet

  • A setup near a window when possible (natural lighting is always best, though we do bring out own lighting kits as well)

  • A clean, designated space for our kit to be laid out

Do you provide under-eye masks?

Under-eye masks are included with every Bride package as part of our thoughtful skin-prep process to hydrate, soothe, and brighten the under-eye area. For other applications, under-eye masks may be purchased on the wedding day for $10 each, subject to availability.

Is skin prep included?

Yes. Skin prep is included with all makeup services and is thoughtfully tailored to your skin type and individual needs. Proper preparation is an essential part of achieving a smooth, comfortable, and long-wearing makeup finish.

For your bridal trial, we kindly ask that you either bring the skincare products you’re currently using or be familiar with them. This allows us to perform a proper skin analysis, understand how your skin is responding to your current routine, and make thoughtful recommendations to help enhance your skin leading up to your wedding day.

You’re welcome to apply your own skincare at your appointment, or we’re happy to apply skincare for you based on your skin’s needs and the desired finish of your makeup. Our goal is to ensure your skin feels healthy, hydrated, and beautifully prepared so your makeup sits flawlessly and feels comfortable throughout the day.

What products do you use in your kit?

Our kit is carefully curated with luxury, professional-grade products selected for performance, comfort, and suitability across all skin tones and types. Every product in our kit is intentionally chosen, extensively tested, and held to the highest standards. Before any product is added to our professional kit, it is tested for a minimum of two weeks. This allows us to evaluate wear, finish, skin response, and overall performance so we can confidently use it on our brides and bridal parties. This testing process provides an added layer of reassurance for both longevity and sensitivity. All tools and products are thoroughly sanitized after every use, and we take great care in maintaining a clean, professional, and hygienic working environment. Our kit features high-end brands such as Dior, YSL, Hourglass, Huda Beauty, Natasha Denona, and other luxury professional lines. Every product is chosen with intention, care, and your comfort in mind.

Is your makeup long-wearing?

Yes. We use professional, long-wear products paired with meticulous skin prep and advanced setting techniques designed specifically for weddings and long event days.

What is the atmosphere like on the wedding morning?

We intentionally cultivate a calm, relaxed, and supportive environment on wedding mornings. Our goal is to create a space where you can slow down, feel cared for, and truly enjoy the experience rather than feel rushed or overwhelmed. We understand how meaningful these moments are, and we approach them with patience, presence, and care.

We work efficiently while maintaining a gentle, unhurried pace, allowing time for touch-ups, small adjustments, and moments to breathe. This thoughtful approach helps ease nerves, keeps timelines flowing smoothly, and sets a positive tone for the rest of your day — so you feel grounded, confident, and fully present as you get ready to step into one of the most important moments of your life.

I don’t normally wear a lot of makeup — is that okay?

Of course. Many of our brides don’t wear much makeup in their everyday lives. Our approach is always customized, whether you prefer something very soft and natural or more polished and defined.

We take the time to understand your comfort level and create a look that feels like you — just elevated, refined, and wedding-ready.

What if I have sensitive skin or allergies?

Please notify us in advance. While we do our best to accommodate sensitivities, Blondesoda cannot be held responsible for allergic reactions.

Do you work with mature skin?

Absolutely. We have extensive experience working with mature skin and approach it with the same level of care, intention, and respect as every client we serve. Our goal is never to mask or over-correct, but to enhance natural beauty while prioritizing comfort, skin health, and a refined, timeless finish.

We use thoughtful skin prep, targeted product selection, and specialized application techniques designed to smooth, hydrate, and brighten the complexion without settling into fine lines or emphasizing texture. Coverage is always customized and can be adjusted to feel as light or as perfected as you prefer.

Whether you’re a bride, mother of the bride or groom, or a member of the bridal party, we take the time to understand your comfort level with makeup and ensure the final result feels like the best version of you — polished, confident, and beautiful.

How do I check availability for my wedding date?

Please submit our bridal inquiry form through the website. Dates are secured on a first-come, first-served basis and are not held without a signed contract and retainer.

Is there a minimum number of services for on-location bookings?

Yes. A minimum of five (5) makeup services is required for on-location bookings. This allows us to reserve the appropriate time and travel for your morning and provide the calm, seamless experience we’re known for.

What if I originally booked the minimum number of services (5) and someone drops out?

Your booking is reserved based on the original number of services contracted. Service counts may be adjusted up to 90 days prior to your wedding date. If your numbers fall below the five (5) service minimum required for on-location bookings, the minimum remains payable, as we’ve reserved your date and travel based on the original booking details.

What if I booked two artists but now have eight (8) or fewer applications?

Two-artist bookings are reserved for parties of nine (9) or more to ensure timelines run smoothly. If your service count drops to eight (8) or fewer, the second artist will be removed and your booking will be adjusted to a single artist. Your wedding date, timeline, and artist availability are secured based on your original booking details.

What is the earliest start time?

Our earliest start time is 6:00am. Start times earlier than this may be accommodated based on availability and may require additional fees, depending on the timeline and travel needs.

When I book, do I automatically receive two makeup artists?

For parties of eight (8) or fewer, one artist is assigned. We are experienced in accommodating up to this number efficiently with a single artist.
For parties of nine (9) or more, two artists are included to ensure timelines flow smoothly.
If a second artist is requested for parties of nine (9) or fewer, an additional artist may be added for a fee of $375 plus applicable travel fees, subject to availability.

What if I need a lipstick touch-up later?

Our formal training includes professional diplomas and certifications dating back to 2007, along with continued education through industry-recognized programs, workshops, and hands-on experience within the beauty and bridal industry. In addition to foundational education, we consistently refine our skills through ongoing training, product education, and real-world bridal experience. This allows us to stay current with techniques, understand skin at every stage, and confidently work with a wide range of skin types, tones, ages, and comfort levels. Do you offer additional beauty services to prepare for the wedding day?

Can someone else in my bridal party book a trial as well?

Will my makeup photograph well and last all day?

Yes. Our makeup is designed specifically with photography, lighting, and long wedding days in mind. We carefully balance skin-like, natural finishes with professional techniques that enhance structure and dimension on camera without appearing heavy or overdone in person. Every product choice and application technique is selected to ensure your makeup wears comfortably, moves naturally with your skin, and holds up beautifully through changing lighting, emotions, and movement throughout the day. This approach ensures your makeup photographs flawlessly and remains polished, fresh, and camera-ready from your first look through the last dance.

What is the difference between Soft Glam & Full Glam?

Soft glam is a polished, elevated makeup style that enhances natural beauty while still looking refined, camera-ready, and intentional. It sits beautifully between natural makeup and full glam — the goal is to look effortlessly beautiful.

Full glam is a higher-impact, statement makeup style designed to be bold, defined, and striking both in person and on camera. It emphasizes sculpting, contrast, and drama while still being polished and intentional. The goal is transformation rather than subtle enhancement.

Yes, absolutely. Members of your bridal party are welcome to book a trial if they’d like additional time to explore their look ahead of the wedding day. We’re happy to create a trial package option for them based on the style, level of detail, and overall look they’re hoping to achieve.

Because each trial is customized, pricing may vary depending on the complexity of the look and the services included. This allows us to tailor the experience to their preferences while still providing the same thoughtful care and attention we offer our brides.

If someone in your bridal party is interested in booking a trial, simply let us know and we’ll guide you through the available options.
